Our Engagement Party
Today we are switching it up and getting a bit personal. We love sharing our big moments with you so we wanted to share some behind-the-scenes shots from our engagement party this past weekend.
Also, since August is our birthday month and this year it is our 30th [eek], we will be celebrating all month long – and – we will be posting THREE times a week! Stay tuned for more wedding fun, DIY projects, beauty reviews and more.
Our Engagement Party:
This past Saturday we hosted a small engagement party at a local restaurant. We wanted to get our parents, bridal party, and a few close family members together to help celebrate our next exciting chapter.
Our decor was mostly handmade by me with a few exceptions purchased at Homegoods or TJ Maxx. The centerpieces, the gold + iridescent champagne glasses, and the DIY Hula Hoop were some of my little projects that I created for the party.
[Note: the gold and iridescent flutes are available on our Etsy store and the DIY Hula Hoop will have a full blog post coming soon!]
I had already asked my girls to be in my bridal party, [you may have caught a glimpse at our bridesmaid promposal boxes], but Steve still needed to ask his groomsmen.
Steve gave his groomsmen personalized growlers [which we purchased from Etsy] and I gave the girls a little extra treat which was a personalized champagne glass and a mini bottle of prosecco.
Our cake and cupcakes were made by a local baker and it was delicious!
Overall, we really wanted to make sure our guests felt special. We had an incredible experience at The Library Cafe and were so overwhelmed with the love from our guests.
Thank you for stopping by and I hope you enjoyed this exclusive sneak peak.
