Colourpop is a beauty company founded in 2014. They pride themselves on being ‘wallet-friendly’ and bunny approved aka they are affordable and their products are not tested on animals.
Price Point: A F F O R D A B L E! Their products range from $4 or $5 and up or you can get amazing sets for a bargain price. The price of the entire collection shown in this post is $69.00 however you can buy the collection in individual pieces. Also, I would like to note the individual lipsticks in this collection are $6 each and similar lipstick products in the industry can range from $20 and up!
Review: I will forever love Colourpop but this collection is more than I could have imagined. Aside from the fact that all of their products are affordable, their products always deliver on pigment and wearability. They always last all day long and never fade and this collection was no exception to their stellar creations. Also, ever since they came out with their pressed shadows a few months ago, I haven’t been able to put them down so I was really excited to try ILUVSARAHII’s shadows. All of her shadows blend so nicely and I love her range of shades she picked.
Chic-y: Damn. This is one amazing set of pressed shadows. It is one of the few sets out there that you can actually create a full eye look with just four shadows. That in itself is impressive to me. Usually sets don’t have a nice transition shade or they have beautiful shades that can’t be mixed together as nicely. The pigment is spot on [as always] and the shadows lasted all day [as always].
$aucey: Again, ILUVSARAHII and Colourpop nailed this set. The colors easily blend together and this palette allows for a solid look. I like the range of colors available in both sets and even though there are only four in each they all work together so you can create a beautiful look with only four shadows.
Lip Pencils: For $5, these are some dope pencils. I mean all of their lip pencils are great but these shades that ILUVSARAHII created can seriously go with so many different lip products/shades. Their lip pencils always glide on like butter so these did not disappoint. The lip pencils are long lasting and work beautifully under the ultra lip products in this collection.
Ultra Lips: In general, Colourpop Ultra Satin Lip products are easily my favorite out of any lip product I own. Yes, they transfer some product but they last all day without a need for any retouching and they do not dry out my lips. The pigmentation on each of these three lips products is spot on which is impressive [especially with the darker shades] because they can often be blotchy and some don’t dry evenly.
Pros: You cannot beat the price point or quality of these products. Some other affordable makeup companies in the industry haven’t been able to nail price, quality and pigmentation all together and Colourpop delivers every time. Going back to quality, the products never feel chalky or cheap and the packaging is also a nicer quality than their competitors. I don’t think there has ever been a Colourpop product that I didn’t like so I am SO pleased that ILUVSARAHII’s collection did not fail me.
Cons: I honestly do not have any!
