Getting Cheeky: Our Favorite Products + Swatches
I hope you all had a fab weekend and are ready to party with me today.
I’m sharing my absolute-favorite-musthaves for all things shimmering and cheeky.
Each of these products have been on face too many times to count but some are new-ish to the collection and I had to share.
Below are my picks along with some swatches so you can really see what they actually look like
Let’s get cheeky:
Benefit Cosmetics: Sun Beam Golden Bronze Liquid Highlighter:
I have used this highlighter so much I almost didn’t have enough for a swatch. It is perfect for my summertime tanned skin. It packs just enough punch without dominating my look.
Benefit Cosmetics: Chachatint Cheek Stain:
Is it possible to have a perfect peach? When I was younger my cheeks always had a red tint to them but as I got older it disappear – weird, I know – but this stain really gives that perfect peachy tint. I love it in the spring because it gives you that adorable flushed look without the hot-mess. FYI The swatches look more orange than it actually is.
NYX Born to Glow Liquid Illuminator: Gleam
I swear this is a combo of the goldend highlighter and stain I just mentioned. It is a golden, peachy pearl liquid that makes your skin look so warm and full of glow. It comes in four shades but I have only tried ‘Gleam’. It is also lightweight and very pigmented so you don’t need a lot of product.
Manna Sheer Glo: Shimmer Lotion
I got this product in my Ipsy bag a while back and actually hated it at first. What? – Yes, I just honestly said that – but I did hate it and now it’s on my favorites list. This product became one of those few I happened to give a second chance and I’m so glad I did because now it made my pro packing list. The sheerness of this product makes it feel like you are wearing nothing but it glimmers just as much as the rest. It is the ultimate lightweight and I can’t get enough.
Revlon Photoready Skinlights: 300 Peach Light
So – I bought this product a few years ago because a beauty vlogger mentioned it in a video and it made her skin look like she was a freaking unicorn honestly. It took me a moment to get over the $10 price tag – because for drugstore that is on the high end – but it was worth it as my first liquid illuminator. I put it on the list because I still actually use it when I’m not playing with one of the others on this list. If you are looking for a product that gives a healthy glow then I recommend starting with this one.
Physicians Formula Happy Booster: Glow + Mood Boosting Illuminating Bronzer:
If you are familiar with Physicians Formula then you know – for drugstore – they tend to be higher in price – but – I swear I actually feel better when I put this product on. It is SO weird. I smile, feel fun and flirty and it is just so so weird. I don’t know what they put in this product but it is worth the price tag. It is probably the most lightweight out of all the products on this list and I love to combine it with the Sun Beam product (especially in the summer and with a tan).
NARS Blush: in Orgasm
You’ve seen this beauty popping up all over my blog in the past and if I didn’t include her on this list I would be a liar. This blush is a peachy pink – I see a peach trend going on – and the compact is packed with pigment. Plus I feel like this product looks great on every skin tone. I personally prefer this blush when I do a rose gold look but you can wear it any which way and it will still look just as good.
City Color Be Matte Blush: in Guava
You know I love my City Color! No I did not add this to the list because I am an affiliate. Yes I did add this blush because it is my favorite out of the four City Color blushes I own. This pressed powder is so easy to blend and it is matte (which I love). I love this color for the fall because it gives a warm, subtle glow that goes great with pumpkin spice and plaid.
Too Faced Blush: in Love Hangover
Running away from the peach train, this warm pink is another winner. Aside from the fact that Too Faced has some of the most adorable packaging ever, this blush gives a bold pop without going overboard.
Too Faced: Sun Bunny Natural Bronzer:
Holy smokes. If you are looking for that sweet, suntanned-bronze-goddess vibe then this is your jam. I can’t say enough about how much I love this product. This makes my skin feels so fresh and soft while still giving a beautiful glow.
Anastasia Beverly Hills Glow Kit: That Glow
I was hesitant to buy anything that wasn’t brow from Anastasia but I’m glad I did. I love that they give you four different shimmers and each one is more pigmented than the next. I also love that you get four colors for the same price of one Becca highlighter. Granted – the Becca shimmers are worth every penny – but if you want to try a product with different options then I would go with the Glow Kit.
Becca x Jaclyn Hill Shimmering Skin Perfector: in Champagne Pop:
LAWD. I put off buying this product for so long that it sold out everywhere and I had to have the store order it for me and ship it to me. Sad but true. This is one of the most expensive makeup products that I have ever bought – and it will be a very long time before I buy another in this price range that isn’t a palette – but this highlighter I could use every day and never get bored. It is currently my favorite because it’s the newbie but also because again peachy tones and shimmer explosion in the best way possible.
Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector: in Rose Gold
Now – I know what you are thinking – I just said I would never buy an expensive product like this again anytime soon – but! – this came in the ‘Paint it Pink’ Sephora favorites pack. Yes it is half the size but I wanted another Becca shimmer in my collection. The formula is super creamy and ultra fine and stunning. This rose gold shimmer is everything.
The Balm Highlighter: in Cindy-Lou Manizer:
Last but not least, Cindy-Lou Manizer. Another pink shade but if you don’t want to spend the money on Becca’s Rose Gold then this is a close second. I originally wanted ‘Mary-Lou Manizer’ but it was always sold out so I bought this highlighter instead and was pleasantly surprised with how happy I was. It is luminous and works great as a shadow!
Here is your pin-able:
